233. Marker & Theme Poles

A large selection of poles carved for Forest Lane Park, Forest Gate, London.

The poles were carved with a wildlife theme including as many species as possible that could be found in the park.

Large poles 2m out of the ground. Marker poles (only one creature on top) 1m out of the ground.

The project also included a demonstration of chainsaw carving and an invitation of ideas from the various groups of schoolchildren that attended.
